When i went to Binan in 2011, the Alberto House (A 200 Plus Year Old House) or more popularly known as the house where the mother of Jose Rizal lived was still intact, but when i went there last march 8,2013 the roof of the house had caved in and the house was such in a dismal state that it looked like it was going to crumble with a flick of a finger. What is so dumbfounding is that the Municipal Hall of Binan is just in front of the house. Are the officials of the Town of Binan blind to what is happening to probably the Town’s most important historical landmark??
The house can still be saved but the cost would probably be Millions upon Millions. If they plan on doing nothing to save the Alberto house then i guess it is better that the owners of Azucar Resort in Bataan have it. I guess that is better that the house be transferred to a new place instead of staying in its current place but with no one who wants to take care of it. The Cry of Binan’s Greatest Historical Jewel is slowly weakening and if no help is coming, then a farewell is not far from being muttered.
Where the Alberto House is located: The Alberto House is located at the Town Center of Binan. It enjoys a Central Location, infront of the Municipal Hall, infront of the Plaza, near the Church.
