Nature Trip: Flor’s Garden

Tucked away in the Hills of Antipolo is a veritable Paradise called Flor’s Garden.

It is a private resort which can be rented. Inside the garden you will find herb’s, animals and so many other things.

Food Trip: Adobo Connection

What: Lunch
When: June 14
Our Order: kuya’s Adobo, Binagoongan, Gising Gising

Rarely is Adobo given the main billing in Restaurants. Adobo connection gives Adobo center stage as they serve different kinds of Adobo. And they make their adobo just right.

Adobo Connection’s Kuya’s Adobo was good. It was saucy ( i prefer my adobo dry) but nonetheless it was good and affordable.

The binagoongan was served differently from the binagoongans i have tasted. It did not have much bagoong but it was flavorful. And good too.

The gising gising was okay too.

Food Trip: The Chicken Rice Shop (Quezon City)

What: Lunch
When: June 28, 2012
What were Ordered: Nyonya Pai Tee, hainanese chicken, roast chicken, braised chicken,Hong kong kai lan with oyster sauce, ice cendol, fresh lime with sour plum and kuching 3 layered tea.

The Nyonya Pai Tee and Hong Kong kai lan were first served. Both dishes were delicious. It was my first time to taste both dishes (though i probably have tasted the kai lan before). I really loved the Nyonya Pai Tee and the 4pcs (P78) was not enough.

The Fresh lime and Kuching Tea were served also and i must say the Kuching 3 Layered tea was simply great. Will definitely order this again if i go back.

The Chicken dishes all followed soon after a few minutes. I was disappointed in my first bite of the roast chicken, got disappointed as well with the hainanese and braised chicken. Though it did not taste awful it simply lacked “flavor”. The accompanying sauces did not help also as they were lackluster as well. The ginger sauce just simply disappoints.

It was then on to the Ice Cendol. I had tasted a lot of ice cendol when we were in Malaysia so my standard was high and like the Chicken dishes it was not met.

Food Trip: Trick’s (Antipolo)

What: Late Lunch
When: June 26,2012
Where: Sumulong Circle, Antipolo City
What were Ordered: Korean Beef Bbq, Korean Pork Bbq, Beef Bulgogi

The food at Trick’s, though not really bad tasting, there is nothing Korean about it. Of all the Korean Restaurants i have eaten at. Trick’s is at the bottom.

Food Trip: Kabigting’s Halo Halo (Arayat, Pampanga)

Pampanga boasts of 2 Famous Halo Halo Makers, the Razon’s and the Kabigting’s. Both are simple compared to the regular Halo Halo. I usually do not prefer the simple Halo Halo but it changed when i tasted Kabigting’s.

I find Kabigting’s Halo Halo more exciting than Razon’s. The pastillas added to the Halo Halo is what gives it more appeal in my opinion. Aside from the pastillas, the other ingredients that make up Kabigting’s Halo-Halo are mashed Kidney Beans and corn kernels.

Food Trip: Bale Kapampangan

What: Lunch
When: June 25,2012
What was Ordered: Buffet P295 Adult

This was our 2nd time to eat at Bale Kapampangan. The food here is delicious. I love their Kare Kare! The bagoong they serve is equally delicious too. My other favorite is their fried Hito and Vegetables with Buro. Their Lechon Kawali here is good also. I was not able to try the other dishes but my co eating companions said they were good too.

At P295, Bale Kapampangans Buffet is a good choice to satisfy your craving for Kapampangan Food.

Food Trip: Bangers (Power Plant Mall, Makati)

I really love the Hot Dog Sandwhiches from Bangers. Better than Sabrett’s in my opinion.

The price of Bangers is a bit on the High Side. But you get what you pay for.
