Day 1: June 28,2013
House to Airport:
We left the house at 5am and arrived at Naia 3 at 530am. There was a long line going inside the parking but luckily we were able to get inside quickly. It seems more people prefer parking at Naia 3 and why not! Parking for overnight at Resorts World is P1,000.00 each overnight!
I already did a Web Check In so it was a breeze getting inside. The thing i love about CebuPac is that WebCheck in is easy and convenient, if you have no bags there is no need anymore to go to the check in counter. With Airphils , even if you dont have check in you still need to go to the check in counter and present the credit card used.
A guard checked our boarding pass (but did not ask for id)
After presenting the Printed Boarding Pass (again no id was asked) we then proceeded to the ex-Terminal Fee counter. You just present the boarding pass and they will staple a piece of paper and then onto to Securitu Check. They dont ask anymore to remove the shoes!
Breakfast at the Airport:
For breakfast we chose a different place this time. Rajah Maynila near the escalator going down to gates 131-134. We ordered their Beef Pares at P99 a bowl plus Mineral Water.
Waiting at Gate 133:
The Lounge at Gate 133 was Full. A lot of flights were on the same gate. Boarding was announced at 650am and boarding moved to Gate 134.
Cebu Pacific 5J625:
The flight departed at 630am ( due to traffic ) instead of 710am. The flight was okay throughout. No turbulence whatsoever. Touchdown at 835am.
Dumaguete Airport:
Got a Taxi to take us to the pier. Fare at P200.00
Dumaguete Pier:
We arrived just in time for the 9am Delta Ferry. Fare at P120 each plus P15 for Terminal Fee. Ferry left at 920am.
Delta Ferry:
The Ferry is quite old. The seats are already worn out as well as the flooring. The Toilet was clean though. There is no open area on Delta Ferries.
Siquijor Pier:
We arrived at Siquijor 1040am. Outside the pier, tricycle drivers were asking where we were going but we just walked towards the Church of Siquijor. A tricycle driver followed us. After taking pictures and touring the church we asked the driver how much was the tour, it was 1000 to go around the island but he would just charge us 900.
Island Tour:
We got the services of the driver. His name was Charlie. We first stopped at our Resort to Check In, the Charisma Resort in San Juan. It was 20-30 minutes from the pier. After checking in we started with the tour.
Our first stop was the Capilay Spring Park. A Naturally fed pool in the town center, then the Church of San Juan. Afterwards we went to the 500 Year Old Balete Tree, Lunch at Lazi (150) next at a eatery. Then the Church of Lazi and the convent. We then went to the Salagdoong Beach Resort, next the Church of Maria. Then the Cang Isok Old House which is considered the Oldest House in the Province. Afterwards we went to the Church of Enrique Villanueva. Next the Church of Larena. It rained hard after i took my last picture, good thing it was the last Church to take pictures of. Final Stop was Siquijor where we had Merienda at a Senor Pedro Lechon Manok Stall.
Then back to the Resort to rest.
At 630pm we went to the Resort’s Restaurant for Dinner. We ordered the Pork Adobo and the Grilled Fish. Our bill totalled 650.
Day 2: June 29, 2013
Pick Up at Resort:
We asked Cris to pick us up at the Resort (430am for the 6am Ocean Jet Trip and it was a good thing as there are no tricycles available at such an early hour.
Siquijor Pier:
We left the resort at 430am and arrived at Pier close to 5am. Bought the tickets (Ocean Jet-P200) and had some noodles at the store in front of the ticket booth. Afterwards did some last minute picture taking of the Church.
Boarding for Dumaguete:
We waited for a few minutes at the Waiting Lounge of the pier. At 535am boarding commenced.
Ocean Jet Ferry – Dumaguete Port:
Seats are assigned so we were not able to get a seat at the upper deck which is open air. The ferry of Ocean Jet is much much better than Delta’s but still a far cry from the ferry used in HK, Japan and other developed countries.
Departed as scheduled (6am) and arrived as scheduled also.
Dumaguete Port – Ceres Terminal:
Got a Tricycle to the Ceres Terminal. Fare to Ceres (P20). We boarded the bus going to Canlaon. At 730am the bus departed. We arrived at Vallehermoso at 1130am. Visited the Church, it was under renovation so maybe next time another visit is in order. Afterwards we went to Guihulngan City. Visited their Church and had lunch at an Eatery beside the Ceres Terminal. Next we went to Bais City, then Tanjay and finally Amlan.
Return to Dumaguete:
It was a tiring day from sitiing down for several hours so we boarded another Ceres bus. Fare from Amlan to Dumaguete P20 each.
Check In at Residencia Al Mar:
The bus stopped in front of our hotel.
Dinner at Kamalig:
For dinner we went to Kamalig. Which is near Silliman.
